Saahil and Helen meet for the first time at Hayley and Nikhil's engagement party.

As fate may have it, Saahil and Helen met again during the pandemic, connecting over virtual bar trivia with friends.

Every week they met up ~virtually~ with their friends Caroline, Nate, Nikhil, and Hayley, and often would stay late just to chat.

Eventually they started to hang out by themselves on Zoom dates, playing the NYT crossword together.

And they made their relationship official at Hayley and Nikhil's COVID mini-wedding.

Despite their busy medical school schedules, they were able to keep up a long-distance relationship.

With many trips to St. Louis...

...and Richmond too!

Helen's Match Day! Helen matched to her Psychiatry residency at UPenn in Philadelphia!

With Helen settled in Philly, they were able to see each other every free weekend they had, driving up and down the I-95 corridor between Philadelphia and Richmond.

When they weren't working in the hospital, they spent many weekends enjoying the sunshine and Richmond's craft breweries.

And traveling around the country to visit family and friends.

Helen considered Saahil's Richmond house her vacation home and "added value" to his home, installing its very own pool.

They celebrated many joyful weddings!

Saahil even spent a month in Philadelphia during an away rotation.

In spring 2023, Saahil and Helen went on their first international trip together to India, Singapore, and Cambodia.

Saahil's Match Day! Saahil matched to his Interventional Radiology residency at UT Southwestern in Dallas with a surgery intern year in Philadelphia (finally ending the long-distance).

Move-in Day!

Saahil planned a surprise weekend in New Hope, PA and proposed to Helen.

January 2024, Saahil made Helen the happiest girl ever...

...when they got their best friend Ralphie!

Saahil and Helen bought their first home together in Dallas, Texas!
